On June 24, 2020, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) launched Accelerate to Value, a comprehensive program to help independent primary care practices deal with financial challenges related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The program provides financial stabilization payments starting in September 2020 based on the primary care practice’s 2019 revenue.
