California To Spend Up To $4.6 Billion On Enhanced Medicaid HCBS

On September 3, 2021, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) partially approved California’s Department of Health Care Services’ (DCHS’) $4.649 billion proposed home- and community-based services (HCBS) “California Revised Home-& Community-Based Services Spending Plan”. Of the 28 initiatives proposed, the federal government fully approved 13 initiatives, partially approved 14 initiatives, and denied one initiative.
