Connecticut Sued For Failure To Reduce COVID-19 Risk At Mental Health Facilities
On April 20, 2020, a lawsuit was filed against the state of Connecticut alleging that the state failed to sufficiently protect residents of two state psychiatric hospitals from contracting and dying from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The facilities are Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) and Whiting Forensic Hospital (WFH). Both have had outbreaks of COVID-19, and five CVH residents died.
