Executive Dysfunction & Emotional Dysregulation in ADHD

Executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation are common major contributors to ADHD impairment, yet these features are often overlooked during clinical assessments 1-3. Dr. Childress will discuss how to understand and recognize features of executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation in individuals with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She will review the approaches for assessing executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation and discuss the limitations of current pharmacological therapies for executive dysfunction and emotional dysregulation.
