The Unicorns Of Behavioral Health: Who They Are & How They Impact Patient Care

By July 2021, investments in digital health exceeded all of 2020. Just in the U.S. $29.1 billion was funneled into digital health startups. Among the top funded digital health clinical domains mental health took the lead at $5.1 billion on its own. This is over 10 times the amount it was at in 2017 and $3.3 billion more than any other clinical indication.1

It has been almost 10 years since Aileen Lee coined the term “unicorn” — a privately held company valued over $1 billion.2 In behavioral health, companies that have achieved unicorn status include now commonly known names such Talkspace, Calm, and Lyra Health. These companies with their investment dollars are already reshaping patient care and care delivery.3

Join Otsuka and OPEN MINDS as we explore how patient care is evolving in the face of the behavioral health unicorns. What it means strategically for your organization and how patient care is impacted.

In this webinar attendees will:

  • Learn what changed expectations patients carry when it comes to behavioral health care delivery and quality
  • Gain insight on how to help your organization be adaptable and form partnerships when “business as usual” will not stand up to muster anymore
  • See how the value equation has changed for things like remote care coordination, remote primary care professionals, clinical decision support at the point of care, and much more
