MoreDr. Heather Luing is a triple board certified psychiatrist (General, Forensic and Addiction Medicine) who actively practices in Florida. She completed her medical degree and psychiatric residency and fellowship training at the University of Florida. Her current clinical work includes inpatient psychiatry as the at Flagler Hospital and interventional/outpatient psychiatry as Chief Medical Officer of Florida Center for TMS. Dr. Luing has previously been the Chief Medical Officer of a large Community Mental Health System in Florida. She is currently a Primary Investigator in clinical studies at Florida Center for TMS including the RECOVER trial for Vagus Nerve Stimulation and several pharmaceutical trials. Her special clinical interests include severe mood and thought disorders and specialized treatments for psychiatric illnesses. She also maintains a practice in forensic psychiatry where she serves as a consultant and psychiatric and substance abuse expert for civil cases across the country. She has been an evaluator for impaired licensed professionals, nurses, and attorneys in the state of Florida for several years.
