Few Smartphone-Based Mental Health Apps Provide More Than Basic Features

Although various mental health services are offered via smartphone apps, only a few provide innovative features like specialized therapies. In a review of 578 commercially available mental health apps, just 1% offer biofeedback and sensor data, 2% offer acceptance and commitment therapy, and 2% offer dialectical behavioral therapy.
