Maryland & North Carolina Implementing New Laws To Permit Pharmacists To Administer Long-Acting Injectable Antipsychotics
During their 2021 legislative sessions, both Maryland and North Carolina enacted bills to allow pharmacists to administer long-acting injectable (LAI) antipsychotics and injectable drugs to consumers with a prescription. In Maryland the new laws go into effect on September 1, 2021. In North Carolina the new laws go into effect on October 1, 2021.
