Medicaid Behavioral Health Use During COVID-19 Dropped 34% For Children & 22% For Adults

Between March 2020 through October 2020 during the U.S. coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency, Medicaid behavioral health utilization dropped. Mental health service use dropped by 34% for children under age 19 and by 22% for adults ages 19 to 64 compared to the same time period in 2019.
