Medical Homes Associated With Higher Likelihood Of Receiving ‘Guideline-Concordant’ Care For Chronic Health Conditions
Consumer-centered medical homes are associated with a higher likelihood of receiving “guideline-concordant” care for chronic health conditions. Consumer-centered medical home participation resulted in a 1.7 percentage point increase in the likelihood of receiving guideline-concordant care after four months of participation. By 12 months of participation, individuals had a 19.1 percentage point increase in the likelihood of receiving guideline-concordant care compared to someone who had been participating for a single month.
