North Carolina Governor Signs Medicaid Expansion Bill; Goes Into Effect When The 2023-2025 Appropriations Are Approved
On March 27, 2023, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper signed legislation to expand Medicaid. An estimated 600,000 residents are likely to be eligible, and the expansion is anticipated to improve access to mental health services in general, and through a proposed Improving Health Outcomes for People Everywhere (IHOPE) Fund.
