North Carolina Proposes New Integrated Medicaid Managed Care Model
On August 8, 2017, North Carolina released a proposed design for transitioning its Medicaid program to a managed care delivery system. The state plans to implement full-risk, capitated managed care plans that will provide integrated physical and behavioral health and pharmacy services along with some home- and community-based waiver services as early as July 2019.
