Peer Support – The Next Generation
There are a number of new developments in the use of peer services spurring provider organization innovations. California is establishing a new peer support specialist certification program under Medi-Cal. And a peer run services independent practice association (IPA) was started in New York, where IPA members can bill Medicaid managed care and participate in value-based reimbursement arrangements.
