U.S. Health Care Spending Increased 4.6% To $3.8 Trillion In 2019

The total national health care expenditure (NHE) in the United States increased by 4.6% to reach $3.8 trillion, or $11,582 per person in 2019. The economic inflation rate during the same period was 1.81%, and the population increased by 0.3%, from 327.2 million people in 2018 to 328.2 million people in 2019.
