Latinos/Hispanics represent the fastest-growing population in the United States yet, they face significant health disparities in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) diagnosis and care.1 The webinar aims to shed light on this pressing issue by sharing United States and worldwide AD Hispanic prevalence data. Additionally, we’ll discuss the profound impact of agitation associated with Alzheimer’s Disease (ADAD) in this population and examine the important roles healthcare professionals and caregivers play in mitigating these challenges. Join us for an enlightening discussion moderated by John Awad, MD alongside esteemed speakers Freddi Segal-Gidan, PA PhD (Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California) and Daniel Jimenez, PhD (University of Miami), as we delve into the crucial topic of the impact of AAD among the Hispanic community.
Objectives:
- Present data on the prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease among the Hispanic population in the United States and globally
- Examine the risk factors associated with Alzheimer’s disease in the Hispanic population, analyzing their correlation with clinical outcomes and the challenges faced by caregivers
