Psychotherapeutic Approaches in PTSD Treatment

Clinical guidelines recommend both pharmacologic and non-pharmacological interventions in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)1. This presentation will highlight these interventions in addition to exploring the benefits of combined pharmacological and non-pharmacologic treatments. Objectives for this webinar include: a review of PTSD diagnostic criteria; common psychotherapies utilized in PTSD; a discussion of the challenges associated with engaging patients in psychotherapy; and the benefits of combined pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments.
