Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs): A New Approach To Providing Mental Health & Addiction Treatment
Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs) were established as a demonstration program under the federal Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 in order to provide a comprehensive range of community-based addiction and mental health services to vulnerable individuals. CCBHCs are required to provide specific types of services under the demonstration, and receive enhanced Medicaid reimbursement rates to cover the costs of their comprehensive care.
