ADepT More Effective Than CBT For Depression With Anhedonia At Reducing Broader Health System Utilization
Augmented depression therapy (ADepT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) had similar response and remission rates, but those treated with ADepT during a pilot in the United Kingdom had slightly lower (0.3%) total health care utilization costs over 18 months, at £3697 for ADepT and £3703 for CBT. Both ADepT and CBT are considered talk therapy, but they have different treatment goals.
