ADHD Three Times More Common In People With Mood Disorders

Adults with mood disorders are three times more likely to have attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) than adults without a mood disorder. For this comparison, mood disorder included both major depressive disorder (MDD) and bipolar disorder. People with bipolar disorder are 70% more likely to have ADHD than people with MDD.
