Dr. Chad Worz, Chief Executive Officer of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) sits down with Justin Rash to discuss the ASCP organization and all that its members bring to the healthcare community. Dr. Worz describes the role of the senior care pharmacist in the aging population as well as discusses the challenges that come with providing medication management for older adults with mental health care needs.
ASCP is a nonprofit association of pharmacists and pharmacies that manage medications of older people and the medically complex. ASCP is an international organization with members located in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and 12 countries. The society’s mission is to promote healthy aging by empowering pharmacists with education, resources, and innovative opportunities. The vision of ASCP is to ensure its members are recognized expert providers of medication management, improving the lives of older adults.
