Approximately 50 million United States adults are living with a mental illness, with 21 million having depression and 13 million with post-traumatic stress disorder.1-4 Minority individuals are among these prevalence statistics but are less likely to receive mental health care.5 In commemorating National Minority Mental Health Month, join us on this webinar moderated by Miranda Fisher, PhD and featuring Ifeanyi M. Olele, DO, MBA, MS, where they will discuss the prevalence and impact of mental illness within the underserved communities, address the clinical presentation of MDD & PTSD present in this population, and share practical wellness approaches to integrate and support the recovery journey for these individuals.

Ifeanyi M. Olele is a psychiatrist & CEO of Genesis Psychiatric Solutions in Washington D.C. He is a Board-Certified psychiatrist and completed his undergraduate studies in Psychobiology at the University of California Los-Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Olele received a medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) along with an MBA in Health Services Administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Medical Science from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Olele completed his psychiatry residency and served as Chief Resident in Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Olele received training on maternal mental health at the Seleni Institute and cognitive behavior therapy at the Beck Institute.
