About This Event
Professional Mental Wellness: The Role Of Organizational & Occupational Health
Organizational and occupational health refers to any workplace health promotion activity or organizational policy designed to support healthy behavior in the workplace and to improve health outcomes.1 Usually, this includes physical health programs such as smoking cessation, health screenings, exercise initiatives, and vaccination clinics; however, many organizations have also been offering benefits that address contemporary workplace concerns like burnout and mental wellness. This is imperative as burnout and mental health concerns are common in the workplace. For example, recent data showed that as many as 77% of Americans have experienced burnout at their current job and 76% of full-time U.S. employees reported at least one symptom of a mental health condition in the past year.2,3 In this webinar, our speakers, Drs. Gaurava Agarwal and Sean Maloney, will review occupational and organizational health frameworks and principles that can be used to approach the growing problem of Burnout and help increase professional fulfillment.
