About This Event
Virtual Event – Addressing Caregiver Burden & Identifying Agitation in Alzheimer’s Dementia
Over 11 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer’s or other dementia.1 The majority (80%) of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia are receiving care in their homes.2 The demand for caregivers and the burden can negatively impact their quality of life and ability to provide care.
This presentation is intended to highlight the impact of caregiver burden, which includes a discussion on the challenges in recognizing agitation in Alzheimer’s dementia (AAD) and a review of helpful tools that caregivers can utilize in identifying and managing AAD.
