How Can A Passing Stranger Intervene To Prevent A Suicide In A Public Place?

Every year, there are approximately 6,000 suicide deaths in the United Kingdom. Up to one-third of these occur in public places. Experts note that given the opportunity for a last-minute intervention, public suicides may be more easily preventable than those that take place at home, and passing strangers can, indeed, save a life in these situations.
