Part 2: Introduction to PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a serious psychiatric disorder that can occur among individuals who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic or terrifying event, series of repeated events, or a set of circumstances1. This infographic aims to raise awareness of PTSD in a straightforward manner appropriate for both individuals with lived experience, and health care providers. PTSD topics include: different trauma types found in PTSD; risk factors and symptoms; impact of PTSD on different life domains; challenges of diagnosing; and stigma of PTSD.
