Establishing the psychometric validity of a medical screener tool in the target patient population helps ensure its effectiveness and trustworthiness for clinical use. Predictive validity of the AASC®, a brief two-item screener designed to support caregivers and HCPs with early detection of AAD, has been assessed against the International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) consensus definition for agitation in cognitive disorders.
