Denver STAR Program Reduces Police Calls for Service By Nearly 1%

The city of Denver Colorado has reported that the first six months of the city’s Support Team Assisted Response (STAR) pilot program averted the necessity for police response in 0.8% of the total calls for assistance to the Denver Police Department. This equals 748 low-level offenses of 93,230 total requested incidents for assistance from Denver Police Department.
