Exploring Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: Treatment Landscape & Unmet Needs
Current evidence-based guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are valuable resources and can be used to help develop individual treatment plans for patients. This webinar will examine the current PTSD treatment landscape, including discussions on both psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy. In addition, presenters will review limitations and key considerations in the treatment of PTSD.

MoreDr. David Block, a psychiatrist in Orange County, CA, is dual board-certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine and was elected to become a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association in January 2014. Currently, he is the Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Western University of Health Sciences, Loma Linda University and California University of Health and Medicine, and is a Private Practitioner in Costa Mesa, CA. Dr. Block has worked extensively in college mental health, managed health care, and community treatment settings with severely and persistently mentally ill individuals. He has extensive clinical experience working with individuals with PTSD, from both his public and private sector work, Additionally, he has written several articles in the psychiatric literature and taught seminars and lectures to students training in the mental health professions.Madeline Shurtleff, PharmD (OPDC)
