Virtual Event – Inadequately Treated Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
This is a Virtual Event for PsychU members in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and West Virginia.
In this presentation, the objectives are to:
- Describe the prevalence of depression in the US
- Highlight the burden of MDD
- Identify inadequately treated MDD and understand how it impacts patients
- Understand which patients are at risk for inadequately treated MDD
- Explain MDD treatment strategies

MoreAmaka Onyereri received her bachelor’s degree in general science and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Oregon State University/Oregon Health Sciences University. Her passion for patient care led her to practice clinically as a community pharmacist where she served patients for close to 20 years in different capacities as a staff pharmacist, pharmacy manager and pharmacy clinical services manager. As a Pharmacy Clinical Services Manager, Amaka spearheaded various clinical and patient care initiatives such as immunizations, medication therapy management, point of care testing, and most recently a long-acting injectables pilot for antipsychotics.Speakers Lindsey Wright, PharmD and Amaka Onyereri, PharmD, BCPS are employees of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc.
