Dr. Costa is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the health field, currently working for Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center. She serves as an Associate Professor at California State University, Long Beach School of Nursing. Costa received her Doctor of Philosophy from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Brandman University in Irvine, California.
