Virtual Event – Inadequately Treated Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
This is a National Virtual Event for all PsychU members.
In this presentation, the objectives are to:
- Describe the prevalence of depression in the US
- Highlight the burden of MDD
- Identify inadequately treated MDD and understand how it impacts patients
- Understand which patients are at risk for inadequately treated MDD
- Explain MDD treatment strategies

MoreDr. Costa is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the health field, currently working for Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center. She serves as an Associate Professor at California State University, Long Beach School of Nursing. Costa received her Doctor of Philosophy from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Brandman University in Irvine, California.Elika Hefazi, PharmD, BCPP (OPDC)
