About This Event
Virtual Event – Unmet Needs In Agitation Associated With Alzheimer’s Dementia (AAD)
This is a Virtual Event for PsychU members in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
This evidence-based review highlights important aspects of agitation associated with Alzheimer’s Dementia (AAD) for better understanding of prevalence and challenges in diagnosis and explore the potential pathobiological correlations in AAD. Describes the clinical and humanistic burden and discusses current guidelines for nonpharmacological and pharmacological treatments of this complex and prominent complication of an already devastating disease. It underlines unmet needs for FDA-approved pharmaceutical treatments for agitation to improve care and quality of life for patients suffering from AAD.
