This evidence-based review highlights important aspects of agitation associated with Alzheimer’s Dementia (AAD) for better understanding of prevalence and challenges in diagnosis and explore the potential pathobiological correlations in AAD. Describes the clinical and humanistic burden and discusses current guidelines for nonpharmacological and pharmacological treatments of this complex and prominent complication of an already devastating disease.
