Historic Analysis Finds Moderate Alcohol Consumption Has No Health Benefits
Moderate consumption of alcohol (defined as no more than two servings of alcohol per day for men and one for women) has no health benefits, according to a large meta-analysis of studies published the topic from January 1980 through July 2021. The study included 107 studies about alcohol use and all-cause mortality identified in PubMed and Web of Science. The goal was to reassess the association between alcohol use and all-cause mortality for low and moderate alcohol consumption.
