This study sought to determine the economic costs of sustained non-remission of depression, using survey data from 488 patients with a history of depression and linked administrative claims data.
Adjusted total annual health care costs for patients with sustained non-remission were $2313 higher than for those who maintained remission for a 6-month period (P = 0.001).
