Rhode Island To Pilot Safe Injection Sites
Rhode Island is planning to pilot harm reduction centers, also called overdose prevention sites or supervised consumption sites. This two-year pilot program will establish “harm reduction centers” to prevent drug overdoses and save lives. The community-based centers would provide health screening, disease prevention and recovery support services where persons may safely consume pre-obtained substances.
